How To Install Command And Conquer 3 + Kane’s Wrath DVD on Linux

Mods

If you have all the previous working perfectly, you can now install mods and launch them.

Copy WrathEd Mod Launcher.exe to your Kane’s Wrath installation directory. This can be done inside Linux’s file manager. i.e. INSTALL_DIRECTORY/pfx/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/Electronic Arts/Command & Conquer 3 Kane’s Wrath

In Lutris, copy the entry you made for Kane’s Wrath, as described previously. Give it a name, such as “Kane’s Wrath Mod Launcher”

Right click on the entry and select ‘Configure’.

Click the ‘Game options’ tab.

Alter the ‘Executable’ exe section from ‘cnc3ep1.exe’ to ‘WrathEd Mod Launcher.exe’

Save

Hit the ‘Play’ button, at the bottom of Lutris.

At this stage, only the vanilla game will be available. That’s fine. What should also have happened is that WrathEd created its required folders in the Documents folder in the game’s wine instance. Exit the launcher.

In Linux’s file manager, find the wine instances Windows Documents folder. i.e. INSTALL_DIRECTORY/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Documents/Command & Conquer 3 Kane’s Wrath

In that folder, there should be a Mods folder. Copy your entire mod’s folder to that folder, so that the structure looks like Mods/MOD_NAME/contents

Fire up your Mods Launcher entry again in Lutris. The mod should now appear in the mod list and you are free to play!
